VFD Option Introduced for PA6C60C-B-E50 Pumps

Gorman-Rupp is pleased to offer a VFD (variable frequency drive) option for the Prime Aire® PA6C60C-B-E50 priming-assisted pump model. The 6” x 6” (150 mm x 150 mm) pump provides flows to 2,000 GPM (126.6 lps) and heads up to 120’ (36.6 m). This versatile, electric driven pump features ductile iron construction and is designed to pass 3” (76.2 mm) solids. The new VFD control allows the 50 HP TEFC motor to operate at load speeds of between 1,000 RPM and 1,775 RPM, expanding the operating range of the pump to include lower head/lower flow applications. In addition to providing improved motor efficiencies and energy cost savings, the new control panel is equipped with a rain/ice resistant enclosure.
