As we continue to monitor and respond to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and well-being of our employees, customers and communities remains our highest priority. We want to share some steps we have taken to help ensure that we maintain a healthy environment.

Health measures at our facilities
We are closely monitoring guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other local and national health organizations. We will continue to actively update our response as this situation evolves, and we have taken the following actions to date:

  • All our personnel has taken precautionary health measures, including frequent hand washing, staying home when sick, and maintaining 2 meters distance to others.
  • We have limited business travel, group events and face-to-face meetings, and have implemented health screening for visitors to our facilities.
  • We have enhanced sanitization efforts at our facilities.
  • We have equipped most of our office personnel to work remotely.
  • Our engineering & manufacturing teams have been divided in completely separated shifts, to minimize the risk of a wide-spread infection.

Impact on our service levels
As this situation continues to evolve in the United States, Europe and in the rest of the world, our focus also remains on addressing the needs of our customers. To date, our business has continued to operate largely without any disruption, but the future impact of COVID-19 on our operations is uncertain and may be subject to factors that are beyond our control. We continue to monitor and assess the impact of this situation and will work to address adverse developments that arise.

Gorman-Rupp has always maintained a high level of inventory. Currently, we have sufficient stock of pumps and parts in both our European and US based facilities. However, as air traffic in Europe and between both continents has been minimized and borders are closing, we do see some challenges. Be aware that this may affect emergency deliveries.

We will do our utmost best to retain our quality and service. Thank you for your continued support and trust in us, and we hope that you and your families remain healthy and safe.
