COVID-19 Update - Ohio Issues "Stay at Home" Order

On Sunday afternoon, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s issued a “Stay at Home” order for all Ohioans to begin Monday, March 23, 2020, at 11:59 PM.

There are certain exceptions to this order that allow the continuation of business activities that are essential to the critical infrastructure as defined by the Department of Homeland Security. Gorman-Rupp Pumps USA is a critical manufacturer that supports water and wastewater treatment, emergency services such as flood mitigation and energy industry, as critical to the infrastructural industries.

Gorman-Rupp will remain open and operating, with the highest priority given to the health and well-being of our employees. We are closely monitoring guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and other local and national health organizations. We will continue to actively update our response as this situation evolves, and we are adhering to the following within our facility.

• Social distancing of 6’ is adhered to
• Stay home if sick
• Frequent hand washing
• No visitors unless essential to our operation
• Travel ban for all employees
• All non-essential employees are working remotely – Full customer service capabilities
• Added sanitation stations and increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing our facilities
• Monitoring health status of all employees prior to entering the facility

As we anticipate stay at home directives across the country to increase in the coming weeks, we are temporarily removing Drop Ship fees on products ordered and shipped through April 20th. Products ordered and direct shipped beyond April 20th will be subject to the direct ship fee. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide communication to our distribution on any additional policy modifications that may become necessary.

As this situation continues to evolve in the United States and worldwide, our main focus has always been to protect the wellbeing of our employees and their families, and to address and meet the needs of our customers.
